Privacy Policy

In one sentence: Trolly does not collect, sell or share personal data. There is no Trolly server. Your data stays on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your iCloud account, where not even the developer has access.

Who we are

Trolly is a personal finance app developed by Christopher Coutinho, an independent developer. Questions about this policy: contato@trollyapp.com.

Where your data lives

Everything you record in Trolly (expenses, limits, fixed costs, installments, goals, name, profile photo, banks and cards) is stored on your iPhone.

If iCloud is turned on for your device, this data is also synced to the private database of your iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit. That's what brings your data to a new iPhone. This database belongs to your Apple Account: Trolly's developer has no access to it.

To stop syncing, turn off iCloud for Trolly in Settings › your name › iCloud.

What Trolly doesn't do

  • It doesn't ask for sign-up, login or email.
  • It has no server of its own and doesn't send your data anywhere.
  • It uses no analytics, ads, trackers or third-party libraries.
  • It doesn't sell or share data, because it never receives any.

Cards

When you add a card, Trolly keeps only the last 4 digits, entered by you to identify it. The full number, expiration date and security code are never requested or stored.

Photos

Profile and goal photos are chosen with iOS's own photo picker: Trolly receives only the image you pick and has no access to your photo library.

Face ID and Touch ID

Biometric lock is handled by iOS. Trolly only learns whether authentication succeeded; your biometric data never reaches the app.

Widgets

For widgets to work, the app saves a summary of the current month (totals and ready-to-display text) in a shared space on your iPhone that only Trolly and its widgets can read. This summary never leaves the device.

Notifications

Budget alerts are created and scheduled on your iPhone. There is no notification server. They're off by default and only work if you turn them on and allow them.

Import and export

Imported CSV and OFX statements are read on the device. Exported files (PDF and CSV) are generated on your iPhone and go only where you send them.

Trolly Pro purchases

Subscriptions, the lifetime purchase and code redemption are processed by Apple through the App Store. Trolly neither receives nor stores payment data; it only asks the system whether a purchase is active. That data is handled under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Your rights and how to delete everything

Since the developer keeps no data about you, there's no record to access, correct or delete: you are fully in control, inside the app.

To delete everything: delete the app from your iPhone (this removes the data on the device) and delete Trolly's data in iCloud under Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.

Children

Trolly is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with the date updated at the top.
